Lafayette Family Outreach

Over two hundred people attended the first Kirby Community Outreach event of the season on Saturday, March 28, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Gorgeous cool but sunny weather greeted Kirby employees and their families who gathered to enjoy tasty crawfish prepared by our own Jerry Orgeron as well as hot dogs and hamburgers grilled to perfection by Ed Reioux and the Vessel Operations team with his new grill. Kids enjoyed two jumpabouts and a rock-climbing wall, while both adults and kids enjoyed sno-cones and funnel cakes.  Even if the men and women who work long hours cannot attend, their families are part of the Kirby Inalnd Marine family and we encourage them to come out for some fun!
