KLM is not only a place of employment but it is also a family. No matter how hard times may get, KLM upper management has always been there to help assist employees. During Katrina, when families lost power, KLM helped out by loaning generators and purchasing groceries for families in need. When KLM tankerman could not work due to these circumstances, KLM paid these employees eight hours per day until they could return to work. I have been employed with Kirby 10 years and workd nine of those years with KLM. I really enjoy my career with KLM.

I have learned many things while working in this industry and I have been able to apply my previous experience with what I do today. Some companies talk about room for growth, but with KLM, it is the real thing. I have wordked in almost every aspect of our division and in various places: from Illinois, Minnesota to Louisiana and Texas. I have learned that if you work hard, learn, and apply yourself, you can grow with KLM.
