Kirby Inland Marine has two entry level positions available on our vessels. Tankerman trainee is an entry level position that has a career track which includes obtaining a MMD PIC-DL so that you can work as a tankerman. Deckhand is the other entry level position. Both positions begin at $120/day. No work experience is required, only a good work ethic and the willingness to learn. Kirby's in-house training center provides you with the knowledge and skills needed while paying your salary ("earn while you learn"). In the first 40 days you learn about the towboat. Medical benefits begin after 60 days.
